Why Provide SEO Exclusively to Wedding & Photography Businesses?

If you ever endeavor to write a novel or screenplay in your lifetime, you won’t get far without someone telling you: Write what you know.

That well-worn adage also rings true when it comes to search engine optimization. Because there’s a significant learning curve required to get to know and understand an industry, its history, trends, future forecasts, and who the prominent players are, a considerable amount of time and attention must be invested.

And while there’s a learning curve and upfront investment of time and energy when starting any new project, the nuances and finer points of an industry can take even longer to figure out if the SEO is a generalist and not especially competent or knowledgeable in a particular niche in comparison to an SEO who has made that sector his or her bread and butter.

For this reason, SEO Wedding Pros specializes exclusively in the wedding and photography industries, offering unique, in depth expertise and experience in the creation and management of SEO campaigns that are built to get results both in the short and long term.

This ain’t my first rodeo

I started a similar SEO agency for the wedding and photography industries in 2008 and operated it until 2013. What happened? As my 40th birthday approached (and with it a unique sense of pending mortality), I realized that I had a dream to chase: I wanted to try my hand at writing screenplays for Hollywood. And so that’s what I did (read more about that here).

But the other side of the coin to chasing your dreams is knowing when you need to pivot. As much as I’d like to be a full-time working screenwriter, I have found that the screenwriting game is tumultuous and unpredictable and wholly uncertain. And when you’re raising kids and trying to live a middle class life in Boulder, Colorado, “tumultuous” and “unpredictable” and “uncertain” aren’t the kinds of words that instill confidence in your spouse or children.

Thankfully, I really love SEO and have had a lot of success doing it over the years. And while I certainly haven’t given up on a screenwriting career, I have had to get better at dividing my time between writing and SEO. So far, so good.

I’d love to hear from you to discuss your SEO needs.
